Auction Rules
Effective: 2026. Subject to revision.
"Sealed bid. Real cars. Real terms. No payment packing. No bait-and-switch. Just bid."
1. Auction Duration & Closing
Each auction runs for 7 calendar days. Auctions open every Monday at 8:00 AM EST and close the following Sunday at 8:00 PM EST. SCG Auctionhaus reserves the right to extend, pause, or cancel any auction at its sole discretion.
2. Bidding Procedure
All bids are sealed — no bidder sees another bidder's amount. Bids represent a monthly payment commitment. There are no traditional bid increments; bidders submit their chosen monthly amount. The highest qualifying bid at close wins. Minimum bids are displayed on each listing.
3. Anti-Sniping Extension
If any bid is placed within the final 2 minutes of an auction, the auction automatically extends by 2 minutes from the time of that bid. Extensions continue until 2 consecutive minutes pass with no new bids.
4. Reserve vs. No-Reserve
Most auctions carry a hidden reserve — the minimum monthly payment SCG will accept. The reserve amount is not disclosed. If the highest bid does not meet the reserve, SCG may: (a) negotiate via Make Offer mode, (b) relist the vehicle, or (c) accept the highest bid at its discretion. No-Reserve auctions are clearly marked — the highest bid wins regardless of amount.
5. Buy Now Mechanic
Certain listings include a Buy Now price. Submitting a bid equal to or exceeding the Buy Now price immediately ends the auction and awards the vehicle to that bidder. All other active bidders are notified and refunded any deposits on file.
6. Make Offer (Post-Auction Mode)
When an auction closes without meeting reserve, or for vehicles listed more than 7 days post-close, the listing may enter Make Offer mode. Bidders may submit monthly offers; SCG reviews within 24 business hours. Offers are not binding until accepted in writing by SCG.
7. Binding Bids
All bids are binding. By submitting a bid, you are committing to enter the applicable agreement (subscription, 6-month lease, or 12-month lease) at your bid amount if you win. Failure to complete the transaction after winning may result in forfeiture of your deposit and account suspension.
8. Deposit Requirements
A refundable security deposit is required to activate bidding. The deposit amount is displayed on each listing (typically $2,000). The deposit is charged to your saved payment method upon winning. The deposit is fully refundable if you do not win, or upon satisfactory completion of your agreement term.
9. Vehicle Delivery & Pickup
Atlanta-area: free showroom pickup or delivery within 25 miles at no charge. 25-50 miles: $200 flat. Out-of-state (subscription only): customer-arranged pickup in Atlanta, or enclosed transport can be arranged for $800-$2,000 depending on destination. All delivery costs are disclosed at agreement signing.
10. Title & Registration
Subscription: vehicle remains titled to SCG Experiences LLC. Lessee is responsible for personal plates and tags if required by state. Lease: vehicle is titled to J&A Financial LLC as lessor. Tax is assessed on lease transactions. Cash purchase: title transfers to buyer upon payment in full.
11. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Subscription: cancel anytime with 30-day written notice. Refundable deposit returned after satisfactory final vehicle inspection. Lease: early termination subject to early termination fee per your signed agreement. Winning bids are binding — cancellation after winning but before contract signing may result in deposit forfeiture.
12. Bidder Qualification Requirements
To bid, you must: (a) be 25 years of age or older; (b) hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license; (c) maintain current auto insurance; (d) have a saved payment method on file. For lease formats: must have a GA address at launch. For subscription: open to all 50 US states.
13. Customer Protections
No credit check is performed on subscription or lease formats. All fees — including admin fees, tax, and deposit — are disclosed on the listing prior to bidding. SCG Auctionhaus does not engage in payment packing, bait-and-switch tactics, or hidden markups. What you bid is what you pay monthly.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from an auction or resulting agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution before initiating formal proceedings. Venue for any legal action shall be Fulton County, Georgia.
15. SCG's Reserved Rights
SCG Auctionhaus reserves the right to: (a) withdraw any listing at any time prior to auction close; (b) reject any bid at its sole discretion; (c) modify auction rules with reasonable notice; (d) suspend or terminate any bidder account found to be in violation of these rules or engaging in fraudulent activity.
These rules constitute the operating framework for SCG Auctionhaus auctions. Full legal agreements governing each transaction format are provided at time of contract signing.
